- 01ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a science-based "toolkit" used to understand why certain behaviors happen and how to teach new, helpful skills. It works by breaking down complex tasks—like getting dressed or playing with a friend—into small, achievable steps, using positive reinforcement to celebrate every success. Beyond teaching new skills, ABA is highly effective at reducing challenging behaviors by identifying the "why" behind them. Instead of just stopping a behavior, our therapists figure out what a child is trying to communicate and teach them a better way to express it. Some examples of challenging behaviors in daily life are -- grocery store meltdowns, bedtime resistance or difficulty transitioning to a different activity.
- 02Not at all. While ABA helps reduce challenging behaviors, its primary goal is to build strengths. We focus on increasing communication, improving social interactions, and fostering independence. The outcome we strive for is a happier, more confident child who can participate fully in their community and family life.
- 03Behavioral support services provide evidence-based support to help individuals develop social, academic, and daily living skills. By focusing on personalized goals, families can see improved communication, increased independence, and more successful transitions between home and school environments.
- 04We don't guess; we measure. By tracking data correctly, we can see exactly how your child is progressing. Whether it's a decrease in bedtime struggles or an increase in the number of words they use to ask for a snack, you will have clear data to show the real-world impact of the services.
