An ABAT refers to someone who implements ABA treatment plans under the supervision of a professional who is certified within the scope of ABA and Autism. ABATs provide behavioral intervention in home, community and school settings to increase communication, social, play, academic and daily living skills, while reducing problematic behaviors. To obtain the ABAT credential, applicants must complete approved coursework through 40-hours of training, complete 15 hours of supervised fieldwork and pass the exam set by QABA.
The ABAT credential is delivered by the Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA). QABA is internationally accredited by ANSI. Through the ABAT certification program, the community is able to identify and access qualified individuals to provide quality ABA therapy to clients with Autism.
SEED Autism Services is an Approved Coursework Provider for ABAT. As an Approved Coursework Provider, we conduct the 40-hours training course. The candidate shall receive an E-Certificate of Course Completion at the end of the course, subject to completion of assignments, quizzes and class attendance. This E-Certificate is required to be submitted to QABA for credential application and exam purposes.
Since Year 2022, we have successfully ran 12 intakes of the ABAT course, training over 200 participants in the Asian region.
