About the course

​This course provides foundational knowledge about autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including diagnostic characteristics, co-occurring conditions, how the diagnosis impacts learning differences and an introduction to evidence-based interventions. Discover what identifies as a good Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service delivery program and learn about the principles of ABA for effective learning and teaching.

Who is this course suitable for?

Anyone interacting with individuals with ASD on a daily basis, such as parents, caregivers, teachers, healthcare professionals, social workers, counsellors, early childhood educators and assistants, law enforcement and first aid responders.
 

What is the format of this course?

This is a *3-hours' course, delivered on a self-paced basis via a Learning Management System (LMS). A combo package is also available which includes a *1-hour learning on the Diet & Nutrition Needs of Children with Autism. The learning consists of video lectures, quizzes, digital handout and a Personal Progress Tracker so you can track and evaluate your understanding of the subjects. 

*Note: Time indicated above is the estimated time to complete the course, including the quizzes. Actual learning time may vary from one participant to another. 

How much is the course?

The courses are offered on a standalone basis and in combo package.

Option 1: Introduction to Autism & ABA (stand-alone 3 hours' content module) @ RM250.00
Option 2: Combo package includes "Diet & Nutrition Needs of Children with Autism" along with a comprehensive handout @ RM550.00.

Will I receive a certificate for completing the course?

Absolutely! The LMS that we use is able to track your progress in completing the tasks for learning. And to recognize your effort in reaching the finishing line, you will receive an e-certificate that is generated by the system which you will be able to download and print.​

SEED Autism Services is an Approved Coursework Provider for all three tiers of QABA professional courseworks. MyDietitianEats is a registered dietitian organization which focuses on special needs' diet. Both organizations work together to help families overcome feeding and nutrition challenges that children with Autism may face in their day-to-day lives.
